The question is the nowadays most of us not known to this fact that how rubella can be dangerous to mother .?
if a pragnent women contacts rubella virus while she is pragnent there is a high chance that her baby may get affected
this is a main cause for mischarges & birth defects .
and this may leads to
1)pnemonia
2) Brain damage
3) defects
4) neurological detects have high chances
hence , it is very important to know the rubella status before a women embark on the pregnancy .
PROCESS EVERY MOTHER SHOULD FOLLOW AT THE START OF HER PRAGNENCY OR WHEN SHE IS PLANNING TO HAVE A CHILD :
1) when a women consultant her gynecologist he/she will advice her to have a blood test which will reveal that you are immune to rubella virus or not
TEST INCLUDES :
In test if IgE is POSITIVE then ,
the doctor will declare that yes may in your childhood you may have this infection (its just like meseals or chicken pox)
and you are naturally immnue or vaccinated towards it .
In test if igE is NEGETIVE then ,
then the doctor will advice you to get the ruhella vaccine
so it is ideal for every girl to have this test done.
And this vaccine is not a complex one it is a simple vaccine
It is very cheap vaccine and widely available with 2 doses .
and after 2 months or according to prescribed by the doctor mother can conceive later .
MMR (MUMPS , MEASLES ,& RUBELLA )
BUT now girl child can have this vaccine
it stands for MMR
its a three in one vaccine for mumps , measles & rubella virus.
The First dose is recommended at 12 to 15 months
THE NEW GENERATION SHOULD NOT RELAY ON SITUATION AND CONDITIONS LIKE RUBELLA.
WHEN YOUR DAUGHTER WILL GROW UP SHE WILL NEITHER TAKE THE VACCINE NOT HAVE TO TEST FOR RUBELLA .
Nowadays government is also running various campaign to fight against rubella virus.
it has a concept for herd immunity in herd immunity usually what happens if this vaccine is provide to a community at a particular time period , then this virus will not able to survive.
